MRES Solar Boat Regatta 2016

Friends School of Minnesota’s 7th and 8th grade Engineering Club once again participated in the MRES Solar Boat Regatta. This boat race held at Baker Lake in Eden Prairie every spring.  It is sponsored by the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES). Engineering Club – Solar Boat Regatta

Seventeen 7th and 8th graders joined the Friends School of Minnesota Engineering Club. Advisor Steve Moe (middle school science teacher) worked with students to build a solar boat to race in the Minnesota Solar Regatta in May. 7/8 Drama Club: The Secret Case of Sherlock Holmes

The 7/8 Drama Club performed their play, “The Secret Case of Sherlock Holmes” by Craig Sodaro.  This large cast of seventeen students had been rehearsing twice a week after school since the end of February.
