Friends School of Minnesota Receives PFLAG Diversity Award

PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) announced Friends School of Minnesota is the 2013 recipient of the PFLAG – Twin Cities Annual Conference Award for Educator of the Year, for promoting safe schools for GLBTQ students, families, faculty and their allies. All School Photo 2012-13

Last Monday morning the whole school gathered for a photo. Here it is! Like stats? For the 2012-13 school year, Friends School of Minnesota is: 166 students (82 boys/84 girls) 30 faculty and staff 35% are students of color 37% of students receive need-based tuition aid 9% of students are from Quaker families 11% are from LGBT families  

FSMN School Committee Minute

The Friends School of Minnesota School Committee approved a minute on May 15, 2012 to express its opposition to the passage of upcoming vote on a constitutional amendment limiting marriage. All persons are created equal and should enjoy equal rights under the law.
