Friends School of Minnesota welcomed back Jae Haile Phillips and Hannah Esparza for a dance residency the during the week of October 19-23. “The Fairy Tale Never Told” – a Third & Fourth Grade Play
Yea-we did it! All the third and fourth graders produced a great play: The Fairy Tale Never Told. Students brainstormed, wrote, rehearsed, and staged the play. This intensive drama unit is an opportunity for the students to take part in something that is made possible by all 35 of them working together!
Dancing, Grooving and Moving with Jae Haile Phillips
This fall, Jae Haile Phillips and his dance partner, FSMN parent Hannah Esparza, came to Friends School for a week-long Latin dance residency. Jai taught merengue, salsa, hip-hop, fusion (a combination of salsa and hip-hop) with all of the steps and complexity that each of these dances demands.
