Friends School of Minnesota 8th graders have begun working on their capstone project. This annual project gives each 8th grade class an opportunity to work together on a project that reflects the mission of Friends School and has a lasting impact on the school community, grounds, or climate.

Welcome to the world of poetry in the Bayou classroom! Third and fourth grade students have been writing poems in a variety of poetic forms: Haiku; Concrete; Advice; My Favorite Thing; Silent, Loud, Eternal; Jabberwocky and more.
Seventh and eighth grade students are visiting Minnesota’s Crosby Farm Regional Park along the Mississippi River once a month for the entire school year. This interdisciplinary exploration combines math, science, geography, and writing with a focus on environmental education.
