Another school year is beginning and students will soon return! It is Friends School of Minnesota’s tradition is to greet students with a handshake as they arrive at the front door for a new school day. We believe the morning greeting makes students feel known, sets a positive tone for the day, and builds community. One of the wonderful things about a small, intentional community like FSMN is that every student, staff member, and family can get to know each other. The FSMN greeting team helps jump-start this process with a smile and hello each day.

Here are some of the friendly folks who will greet you and your children every morning at the front door as they arrive. From left: Shane Zack (admissions director), Jenni Bratulich (development director), Tatiana Polovenko (school secretary), Barbara Van Vreede (bookkeeper), and Garth Morrisette (business manager). Not pictured: Jeannette Lutter-Gardella (assistant head) …and you might see other admin greeting too, such as Melanie Spewock (extracurriculars director) or Annamary Herther (admin assistant). Occasionally, you may see students greeting too!
