The Pine Ridge Reservation is home to the Oglala Lakota Nation and is located in southwestern South Dakota. The estimated 29,000 to 40,000 residents of the reservation hold on to a rich cultural history but live amidst severe poverty.

An unusual fall blizzard hit western South Dakota on October 4 & 5, 2013, (Winter Storm Atlas). More than 48″ of snow fell in parts of the Black Hills. The winters there are harsh, this is your opportunity to donate new or gently used winter items where they are needed most.
