April Prairie Restoration at Coldwater Spring

Friends School of Minnesota 5th and 6th graders made their second to last field trip of the school year to Coldwater Spring on April 26th. Students went on a series of monthly field trips to various locations along the Mississippi as part of the 5/6 interdisciplinary unit about the Mississippi river.

Spring 3rd/4th Grade Field Trip to Fort Snelling State Park

Friends School of Minnesota third and fourth graders had their last visit of the school year to Fort Snelling State Park. Despite the unpredictable weather, students were able to study phenology on Pike Island, pull baby buckthorn with our DNR Naturalist, and attempt to seine the river for fish.
