Annie Enneking spent a week at Friends School of Minnesota as our artist in residence November 26-3o, 2012. Teachers collaborated with Annie to plan drama activities that tied into the school year’s curriculum and themes. Annie also led theater activities that spark children’s imagination, inspiring creativity and artistry.

Annie led drama games using voice techniques to help prepare 3rd and 4th graders for their spring play.
Annie worked with 1st and 2nd graders creating and retelling folktales.
7th and 8th graders read and acted out scenes from Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”
Kindergartens created a bee dance to connect to thier study of bee's.

5th and 6th graders crafted their experiences at Coldwater Spring to perform at Friends School of Minnesota’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration.

Annie Enneking is a highly skilled teaching artist as well as an accomplished actress, singer, songwriter, dancer, and playwright, winning a 2010 McKnight artist fellowship from the Playwrights’ Center. She is also an FSMN parent.

Annie works with The Children’s Theater Company in the Neighborhood Bridges Program, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national model for arts education. As a teaching artist, she uses storytelling and creative drama to help children develop their critical literacy skills and to transform students into storytellers of their own lives.
