To celebrate Friends School of Minnesota’s 25 years, we are taking our values out to the community and undertaking 25 service projects. Families, students, teachers, and friends of the school are doing service in honor of FSMN. From packing food for the hungry, to raking leaves and raising money for pancreatic cancer awareness, we are making a difference!
Here are twelve service projects FSMN community members have done this fall:
A third grader and his dad volunteer at Obama’s Minnesota campaign headquarters
A fifth grader and his mom volunteer at Feed My Starving Children
An 8th grader, alumni and their mom helped serve Sunday dinner at First Nation Kitchen
5th & 6th graders clean up a beach on the Mississippi River
5th & 6th graders mulch new trees at Coldwater Spring National Park
A first grader and his family help collect and sort produce from the farmer’s market for the Neighborhood House food shelf
