The eagles are back! Third and fourth graders have been keeping an eye on the Decorah, Iowa eagle nest web cam since February.
In the last week, three eggs have hatched. We watched the eaglets fluff out and chow down on fish, rabbits, squirrels, and perhaps a cat (this has been a source of heated debate).
The first feeding is around seven in the morning, if you want to start your day out right.
The names of the eaglets are:
- D14 (the last born…he/she battles for his/her food from the other two)
