What’s everybody doing on a Friday at Friends School of Minnesota? I decided to walk through the building and snap photos of school life at about 1:30 p.m. Pretty neat what goes on around here!
Kindergarten students listen to a story in Spanish with Veronica.
Linda and first and second graders play “Picket Fence” in phy ed.
First and second graders work on quilts in art after learning about the work of Faith Ringgold.
Kak reads aloud from the book "The Watsons Go to Birmingham" to her third and fourth grade class.
Brad works with third and fourth graders to read music and play recorder.
Fifth graders learn how to measure in fractions of an inch as they prepare to dissect their flowers in science.
Sixth graders research topics related to astronomy in math class.
Seventh and eighth graders work on their History Day research and projects.
One of the best things about 1:30 today is that it isn’t the same day to day; learning at FSMN is alive!
One of the best things about Friday, “Open Lab”. Regular Open Lab, and Open Lab with Buddies. A chance for hands-on activities that span age-groups and give kids the opportunity to work with a variety of teachers and staff.
