Fourth grade math was filled with 10’s in January. We learned about exponential growth through the use of bit cubes. We built structures that represented ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand and a million cubes.

Creating cards about the power of ten.

Students doing something interesting

Practicing a skit about the power of ten.

We then created a short skit to demonstrate this math concept to the 3rd graders. Students did a great job in the skit and learned about the power of “10” as well!
